Quantum physics and classical mechanics are ab initio as they are essentially everything which dervies from a small set of fundamental principles: namely, the Schrodinger’s equation and Newton’s laws, respectively. I believe all of classical electromagnetism is theoretical outgrowth of Maxwell’s equations.
