    Most of the theoretical framework is already made and perfected. The fundamental equations don’t need revision until an experiment disagrees with the results. Experiments and computations can be used to test the theory under certain conditions

    There are still a lot of unanswered questions in quantum mechanics. It might seem logical to do extra theoretical research to answer these questions.
