I think the answer as to “why is everyone not talking about quantum for discussing solids” is that people are not equipped with quantum. Forget about computer literacy, we have a quantum-deficiency gap in our society. People couldn’t care less about quantum for them it’s complicated and I don’t think that the science community is doing enough to make it more understandable.

That’s why platforms like these are important.
