Two particles have 3 degrees of freedom in space and velocity, so a total of 6 in phase space. they are mapped to a single complex number, so the answer is C.

So turns out I was wrong in including velocity degrees of freedom. Instead, the spatial coordinate of each particle is relevant, giving 2×3.
