My name is Vincent Munar (username vv0629). I am currently staying in the beautiful city of Alcala de Henares, a part of the Community of Madrid. Some reasons to visit Alcala is that first, it is a World Heritage Site, containing lots of historical relevance here in Spain, and second is that it is very near to Madrid City! I am currently studying as a Nuclear Engineering Master student here, but I have a background in theoretical physics. I expect to learn more on the practical side of things, i.e., how to actually run computational study using DFT. I am already somewhat familiar with the theoretical background of DFT, I just need to study how to properly implement it computationally. In the long run, I am very interested in applying computational chemistry methods in the field of nuclear science and engineering. To be specific, I am interested in how to use ab initio methods in helping to solve some of NSEs problems, like in spent fuel reprocessing, and radioactive waste management.
