I am from Mumbai but currently in California. You should visit my city i.e. Mumbai during the Ganpati festival . It is a festival unique to Maharashtra (a state in India). There are huge pandals set up with idols of Ganpati( God). People from the neighbourhoods gather in the pandals, offer their prayers, hold events and activities and have the time of the year.
