Why is quantum physics referred to be an ab initio model? Why is classical mechanics referred to be an ab initio model? Are the initial principles of classical electromagnetism an ab initio model, and if so, what are they?
We refer to quantum physics as a “ab initio model” because it begins with the fundamental rules of existence and uses them to describe the universe. Newton’s Law serves as the fundamental concept in classical mechanics, which is also an ab initio model. I believe that Coulomb’s Law and the Maxwell equation serve as the fundamental building blocks of the classical electromagnetic ab initio model.
