    Hello!

I am Balazs, a first year PhD student studying in the UK. Although the stereotype is that British weather is rainy and cloudy, I think it is not too bad, especially during the summer.

I am starting my project in computational materials research at the University of Cambridge, so DFT is going to be a key topic during my PhD. I had an introductory lecture into the field during my masters but starting proper research I need a bit more in depth course with application to have a good basis for my future research.

I look forward to the lectures and exercises, which I am sure going to be very interesting.

    Best wishes,
    Balazs

    Hi there!
If the weather is anything like in Belgium, just wait untill you see the weather during the month of April. How many years did your master take you? At what research group are you conducting research? I’d love to connect to new people in the same field!
