Quantum physics can be considered an ab initio model since it relies fundamentally on the Schrodinger equation, and cannot be simplified further. In the same way, classical mechanics can also be considered the same since it is solely based on Newtonian equations.

Classical electromagnetism is based on Maxwell’s equations that describe the behaviour of electric and magnetic fields and how they relate to each other. Though it has both electric and magnetic components, it cannot be simplified further to individual components, and thus classical electromagnetism is ab initio model.
