Quantum Mechanics, Classic Mechanics, and Electromagnetism are called ab initio methods because they are based on irreducible mathematical models of nature. Quantum Mechanics’s first principles are Schödinger Equations; Classic Mechanics’s first principles are Newton’s Law equations and Electromagnetism’s first principles are Maxwell’s equations.
