Quantum mechanics is considered ab initio because it is derived directly from fundamental principles, such as the Schrödinger equation. Similarly, classical mechanics is also ab initio, as it is founded on Newton’s laws. Classical electromagnetism follows an ab initio approach as well, with its first principles based on fundamental laws like Maxwell’s equations.
