I really think he’s right, we could design materials and make simulations to prove how useful they can be.
Lately it has been done with organic molecules, at fist some options are generated (greatly optimizing the time and materials they would take in the synthesis) and lastly put in a simulation to choose from those options the best one. so instead of synthesizing multiple ones, end up with the best
