    Bridges have been built for thousands of years. I think the first bridge also collapsed immediately and a lot of research had to be applied to that as well. Maybe high-temperature superconductivity will be perfectly normal in 100 years and we can’t understand why scientists didn’t find it. Besides, it is much more intuitive to build a bridge, children can do it with lego.
