    The essential difference is that constructing a bridge requires very well known and easily solvable physics, while finding new materials, especially room temperature superconductors, is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. It’s actually even worse. You have to test every piece of hay and check if it’s a needle or not. Experimental research (without computational efforts) is just too limited to create a realistic pathway to finding a roomtemperature superconductor.
