    The energy interactions in a solid should comprise of kinetic energies of both electrons and nuclei and their mutual electrostatic interactions:

    – electron-electron Coulomb interactions (repulsive),
    – electron-nucleus(-i) Coulomb interactions (attractive), and
    – nuclei-nuclei Coulomb interactions (repulsive).
