Quantum and Classical physics are termed as an “ab initio” model as they are based on fundamental principles that attempt to model physical and/or observable properties using mathematical equations. This provides an approximation of the real world, thus allowing one to study the properties in detail. Classical electromagnetism is not an ab initio model because it’s based on quantum calculation of charge properties.
