It is exiting if we create or experiment with materials in a lab by mixing, combining or just put them together. However, it could be mortal if we do not know what are the resulting material and the toxicity of this material (Marie Curie). For this reason, it is more useful to study a material or the inter-atomic interaction between two or more molecules of a material. Also, it is fun to play with different interactions (internal and external) and try to give an explanation of what is happening. In my first publication, I learned how to use DFT calculations to get all the information of the interactions between two molecules (check it: doi:10.1021/acsapm.3c00725), and I am passionate with this methodology to get different materials.
