I’m Hannes Rijckaert, a postdoctoral researcher of SCRiPTS group (Ghent University, http://www.scripts.ugent.be). I studied industrial chemical engineering and obtained my PhD in 2017 on superconducting nanocomposite films using preformed metal oxide nanocrystals under the supervision of Prof. Isabel Van Driessche at Ghent University as a part of the European project Eurotapes. I have an experience in the synthesis of thin films via chemical solution deposition in both lab-scaled and industrial-scaled ways. Most of the material studies are crystalline, and the characterization by transmission electron microscopy is my expertise. I hope to learn a lot about the DFT approach where I can use these methods in my future research.
