Hello from Chicago!

My name is Rosie and I am a materials engineer from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. I believe Chicago is a city you should visit at least once, it’s very diverse in terms of food and there’s a lot of activities around different neighborhoods that will definitely interest anybody.

I just graduated with my Bachelor’s in engineering and am going to pursue a PhD in material science at Northwestern University. Having a lot of experimental background, I want to better understand some electronic properties of the devices that I make and how to tune them. I have some experience with Molecular Dynamics simulations and a rough understanding of DFT calculations but do not feel confident. This is a tool I want to be able to use for my research.
