I am Dietger Van den Eynden and I am following the course from Basel (Switzerland). Basel is very a very nice city to visit especially in summer. Since we have the Rhine flowing through the city we just jump in with our floating bags and once we are done floating we get out and enjoy a beer at the side of the water.
I studied chemistry in Ghent and after my studies I started a PhD in Basel studying group 4 nanocrystals. While I am an experimental chemist from training I got exposed to theoretical calculations during my PhD without a proper introduction. Therefore, I hope this course will allow to get a better idea on how these type of calculations can be used.
Since I am always eager to learn I hope this course will broaden my knowledge making me a more all-round scientist!
