Materials from thought

I believe this vision is quite realistic. It’s difficult to see what lays ahead of course. However, knowing of the state of the art material research being conducted in Berkeley by the Ceder group and other groups (the A-lab for instance, created to push the AUTONOMOUS EXPERIMENTATION FOR ACCELERATED MATERIALS DISCOVERY in to a new era of science) or the materials project (containing so much highly relevant physical properties and structures), created by Gerd and his wife, Kristin Persson. Of course there’s always bumps in the road, like the fake news about LK99, but I truely believe we’ll get there. I’m not sure if we’re not already there actually, because how do you define designing materials from thought, but perhaps, this is more of a philosophical question.
