I do mostly agree with his views on creating such a platform. But it will be only realistic when the simulations and computational predictions go hand-in-hand with the experimental results. There could be instances where the theoretical prediction may not be fully be accurate to the experimental findings. This could be due to extra variables that may have have effects in practical world or even due to poor or incomplete theoretical understanding. But with both simulations and experiments validating each other, we would be able to expand this platform and thereby have a profound impact in the field of material science. This would be possibly decrease the need of many trial and error methods that are employed today in the experimental material science thus saving valuable time and effort. Even though predicting how long will it will take to develop a fully fleshed out model is difficult, we should nevertheless take the effort.
