    A solid is a state of matter that has a definite shape and volume. It don’t contain or contain a small spaces or gaps between atoms.

    Hi, Nadira! 😀 From a micro perspective， a solid can be viewed as a system of positive nuclei and negative electrons, all electromagnetically interacting with each other, and obeying the equations of motion prescribed by quantum physics.
