As it is mentioned in the video, ab initio methods are based on fundamental mathematical models that can correctly describe what happens in real life. For quantum physics, we have Schrodinger’s equation; for classical mechanics we have Newton’s equations and for classical electromagnetism we have Maxwell’s equations.
