If the principles of DFT were applied to the solar system, then the planets would be treated as non-interacting, each moving with its own kinetic energy moving in an average gravitational potential generated by the other planets as well as an external gravitational potential of the sun. There would also be a correlation potential that accounts dynamic correlation between planets. There shouldn’t be an exchange component since planets are distinguishable.
