Experimentation no longer is used to prove the veracity of quantum physics. The fundamental equation of quantum physics–the Schrödinger equation–and its parameters are known. Most people may have an opposite opinion because quantum physics may have been presented to them as a theory, i.e. quantum theory. Their intuition may be fed by fear: A fear born from unfamiliarity with the Schrödinger equation and the mathematics of quantum mechanics, as these are foreign languages to them.
