    The most fundamental equations have been setup and generalized for any system possible, there is no need to change the fundamentals because they would contradict everything that we have observed so far. If there is a new system or structure, we can change the parameters to fit the new material and calculations can happen.

    On the other hand, it is understandable but I think it’s mainly because of the unpredictable nature behind quantum mechanics. It is very abstract and seems incomplete due to some fields in quantum mechanics still being developed.
