In theory we observe nature and try to make the laws that governs physical phenomena out of it, we also try to solve those laws analytically and interpret them.
In simulation we solve the unsolved equations from theory using computers, to predict the properties of our system.
In experiments we test in the lab different protocols till reaching our goal behind the experiments.
