Hi all!

I am Nan, a postdoctoral researcher from Technical University of Munich…I just completed my PhD dissertation and started my postdoc research for a few months.

During my doctoral studies, My research focus was physics of surfaces and interfaces. For now, I changed the core of my research field to theory. I have very limited experience with DFT calculations, which I gained from our collaborators (one of the theorists from my field supervised me for the theoretical analysis for my paper). So it is really a big challenge for me. Nevertheless, I would like to learn the basic philosophy of theory and theoretical technicals. I really appreciate this course, it gives people like me a chance, who do not have much time to systematically learn the theory.
